Livin' Legacy is a family group made up of Mark Hoggard, Jr., Mark (Trey) Hoggard, III and Briana Cottle, who are carrying on the singing legacy in which their “Pa,” Mark Hoggard, Sr., helped instill into their lives.
Livin' Legacy seeks to continue to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song just as their "Pa" did for many years.
Mark Jr. is the son of the late Mary Lou and Mark Hoggard, Sr.
Mark Jr. has been a part of Southern Gospel music for nearly his entire life. His father, Mark Sr., established The Laymen in 1975, paving the road to the family's music career.
Mark Jr. began his singing career by playing various roles with The Laymen, beginning when he was only seven years old. These roles included bass guitarist, lead vocalist, bass vocalist, group manager, and even song writer. The Laymen went on to record 14 songs penned by Mark Jr.
Additionally, Mark Jr. traveled and sang bass for The Harvesters for seven years.
Outside of singing, Mark Jr. enjoys spending time with his doting wife Amanda and his two precious grandchildren, Chance and Madilyn.
Briana is the daughter of Amanda and Mark Hoggard, Jr., and the granddaughter of the late Mary Lou and Mark Hoggard, Sr.
Briana sang briefly with The Laymen before the group officially came off the road.
Briana is married to her loving husband, Kevin. Together they have two wonderful children, Chance and Madilyn. When she is not singing, Briana can be found in the office as a dental hygienist, behind her camera lens as a skilled photographer, or at the ballfield cheering on her children.
Trey is the son of Amanda and Mark Hoggard, Jr., and the grandson of the late Mary Lou and Mark Hoggard, Sr.
Trey is the manager of Livin' Legacy. He has only been singing for a little over a year. Prior to organizing Livin' Legacy, has put together several "Laymen Reunion" concerts in the local area.
Trey recently married his wife, Laura, in 2024. Outside of singing, Trey raises poultry for Perdue Farms and is also a collegiate basketball official.
